My time at UIW has equipped me to confidently create, organize, and execute various platforms to showcase content.
After graduating and applying to multiple news outlets I received a lot of "not enough experience" feedback.

I decided since no company wants to take a chance on my knowledge,
I will gain the required experience by developing my own podcast and blog with full creative control.
About TheGossipRoom
TheGossipRoom is my Spotify Podcast I developed in March of 2024. TheGossipRoom is categorized under the 'Personal Stories' genre on the Spotify platform mainly due to the different topics I have prepared for every episode.
However my podcast further discusses the latest topics in the media as well as embark other socially accepted conversations with close friends and family to help me understand certain aspects of life itself.

My Notd blog MariasMedia was created in January of 2024 as another outlet to continue practicing my article writing.
For this blog I really wanted to utilize it for my sports writing. I am a huge NFL, NBA, and Futbol fan for as long as I can remember. Covering sports in any media outlet is the ultimate goal I have for myself as a Journalist.
